Mega Manta won the Devil Mountain R/C Fun Fly in the 2 Minute Limited Motor Run
on September 30, 2001.A professional video was made and will be available in January.

Visalia Sailplane Contest

At Visalia's Sailplane contest Oct 6th 2001 the Mega Manta placed 3rd in the Night (pitch black) Pylon Races. With night lights and LED's the night races were a visual blast.  The spectators (about 250 + of them) got to view a light show they will remember for the rest of their lives. The pilots, including yours truly, had more fun than you can imagine. Every kind of flying wing was involved but only one Mega Manta.  The crowd was chanting "Mega Manta-Mega Manta" as though it was a football game's cheer leading section. When one of the little wings came up behind the big Mega Manta the prop-wash blew the little guy out of control, like a leaf in dust devil. The crowd sounded like a touch down was made. Several video's were made of the event and as soon as can get a copy I'll try to make it available....
